The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, in cooperation with Massa International Testing Company, is launching a version of the “English Olympiad for Universities 2024,” which will allow participating teams from various public and private universities from all over the Middle East and the world to compete, with the aim of improving language skills in The field of the English language, enhancing the use of modern scientific research theories and creative projects, and acquiring leadership skills, teamwork, community service, and theatrical productions by working within one team.

Conditions for applying to the Olympiad

1. Category (18-24 years): The number of team members must be (5) members in addition to a coach/supervisor.
2. All team members must belong to one educational institution, as the university has the right to participate in a maximum of five teams.
3. The application for participation must be submitted and the prescribed fees paid for the participating team (1000 Jordanian dinars), which is equivalent to ($1400), excluding travel fees, before the date of 5/25/2024 for teams from all over the world.
4. The team should be informed of the conditions and instructions of the Olympics.
5. English must be the second language for all student members of the team.

The performance of the participating teams is evaluated according to certain criteria determined in advance by specialized committees. Team members take an English test on the first day of the Olympics. While teamwork, project, theatrical performance, and community service are evaluated on the first and second days, where each of the participating teams presents what they have accomplished before the judging committees, the results are announced, and the winning teams receive Olympic awards during the closing ceremony.
